Code of Practice
The New Homes Quality Code provides clear and comprehensive requirements that developers must meet to provide quality, fairness, and good customer service throughout the process of buying, moving and settling in to a new build home.
The Code applies to developers who have registered with the New Homes Quality Board and have active status on the Register of Developers. They agree to comply with the Code and accept the decisions of the New Homes Ombudsman Service. Customers who reserved their home from a Registered Developer on or after their activation date are protected by the Code and are eligible to access the New Homes Ombudsman Service from the point of reservation and for two years post legal completion.
Read the Code to learn what is expected of developers.
If you are a customer of a new home, choose the Code that applies to you below which is based on the date you reserved your new home.
